We can all grow an apple tree. We understand the basics. Plant an apple seed in fertile soil. Protect it from birds and animals. Water it as necessary. Be mindful and in less than a decade we’ll have delicious apples to delight our taste buds.

It seems simple enough, but most of us choose to get our apples from the farmer’s market or the grocery store. Why?… Time. We would rather enjoy our time pursuing our happiness elsewhere. We don’t all want to research the best soil, seeds and practices. Or spend our time pruning and protecting the tree from insects and disease.

What is true for apples is true for technology as well. We don’t all (well… I do!) want to spend our precious time researching various free digital tools, learn how to use them, compare them, and choose the ones that can best serve us. There’s no need to spend years learning how to use today’s technology.
